The Chalet Rendezvous is an Iconic Building in Gisborne, being constructed in the 1950’s and famous for being the first liquor licenced restaurant in New Zealand positioned at one of New Zealand’s most popular surfing beaches, 8km north of the CBD.

Today it has been converted into shared accommodation downstairs bunk style ideal for the budget traveller, with a large open plan common area to mingle with the other guests and watch the surfing across the road. Both the upstairs and downstairs areas can be self contained for large group bookings, or available as shared accommodation with private double rooms upstairs for couples.
